Alternative Measures

Anyone who has the pictured pink newspaper bag of crap ads thrown on their driveway every Saturday morning will appreciate this story.
I don't know how long its been happening but, as noted, every Saturday morning the pink bag is there, thrown in the darkness from a 1992 Geo Spectrum I am picturing. If I am 'Joe Burglar' and see that same bag laying there on Tuesday, time to move! I can't be a hater to the Geo Spectrum driver as he/she is just trying to make a buck as my mom had the task one year (1970-something) of delivering phone books and let me tell you as I helped, enough phone books in a mid size car can sure weigh it down as we were just about touching ground on the back bumper.
Back to the pink bags, after enough times of walking the bag from the driveway directly to my recycle bin this spring, I called the number on said bag to request it to stop. No problem I was told. A month later, the papers were still coming. I called again. No problem. The papers still came. To the Internet I went and got on a chat with a representative from the pink bag company. It will stop I was told. It did not stop. I went back to the chat with another representative but it was not to be.
Friday night I took measures into my own hands with the below picture. Saturday morning came and my neighbors had the pink bags and I didn't so we'll see. If not, I might have to resort to egg throwing at the Geo Spectrum next week (ha). Stay tuned.

Mother Cup 2017 - Tale of Two Pictures

Sons of Liberty founding father Slick sent the first two pictures of this entry with the caption, "the weekend tale..." So true as unfortunately that is not someone water skiing off the back in the first. That was the dead whale that eventually came back to life but not the kind of start you are looking for in a fishing tournament. The second picture should be captioned "the champ is here!!!" as Doke took big fish, most total fish pounds and carried the Seadogs to a mass-a-cree victory over the elder Liberty team. There was no stopping the guy.
The two session tournament had only five pounds separating the two teams after Saturday morning, however, Saturday evening's fish did not yield five pounds for the trailers. The wind was fierce in addition to the most pollen I've ever inhaled in my life (serious; check out the picture below) but the Doke train was full steam ahead.
A good time, as always. To those who had to hear me tell the same story multiple times over the weekend (lot of "Was it you I was telling....?" Yep), we're old and get used to it.
Thanks to Dave and Judy for putting up with us once again.
