TimAdvisor Review

Much better than Trip*dvisor, the TimAdvisor reviews cut to the chase and leave out the back story. Back stories like "We went to a nice show in Windsor, had a great meal at La Blah Blah Blah and were looking for a nice place to stay..." Nobody cares about your show or your meal; just let us know if there are bed bugs, the shower quality and the location to the nearest beverage. 

With that, if you are in Kingsville, Ontario and are looking for a clean, funky hotel as I was Friday night, The Grove is your place. I've stayed there three times now and stayed in a different style room each time. Friday's room I guess was the Pacific Northwest mountie motif as I had a moose (paper mache) mounted on one wall and a woodsy feel throughout. As far as that nearest beverage, The  Grove has The Grove Brew House attached so there you go.

Easter Fish

A shout out to my bro-in-law as he made some darn good Easter lamb chops today and also created the coolest fish tank ever as it's not a tank; it's a pond in his back yard equipped with a heater and filter for said fish to hang 365 days a year while the pea brained (but big hearted) house dogs salivate looking on from the rocks.

Bike Tour Movie Review

I'm not sure I've thrown a movie review on here but if I have, here is another but saw the Probert documentary tonight at the local theater. I don't need to throw a first name out there as the picture tells many-a-stories and this movie told some stories. The first quarter was some OUTSTANDING footage of young Bob kicking some ass in the minor leagues but as the movie progresses, you can only say, "awe...Bob...." or "come on Bob..." so many times for the many mishaps. Interviews with some Wings and others of the past spilling their guts. Good stuff. 

Siskel & Ebert would both give it two thumbs up and so do I.

Spartan Gather

While the end result wasn't ideal, last night's final four game allowed a pack of Spartan alums to gather in one place for the first time as a group in quite some time. The sports teams at State always seem to leave us hanging but the student base, couch burners aside, are second to none and am fortunate to hang with this pack back in the day.
