U.S. Open of Putt-Putt - Father's Day Treat

What do you do for a golf-loving dad on Father's Day who would love to be out on the links but whose body is preventing it? You take him to the putt-putt! This was not your average putt-putt either. Indoors ....and glow in the dark, which made for an interesting first couple of holes for my sight-challenged father. Baby steps to each hole until he got comfortable. Once he adjusted though, he was in the zone. Unlimited mulligans as well for the man of the hour (he was going to take them regardless of what I said).

The Magic of Electrical Tape

This past Memorial Day weekend, I was in Canada visiting my old neighbors there, Tom, Judy and Jen W. We were catching up and the topic lead to motorcycles (Tom has one). I mentioned my spring tune-up from hell for my two-wheeler this year. I won't go into detail on said tune-up from hell as nobody wants to hear a rant. One offshoot of the tune-up once everything was finally completed, however, was that my 'check oil level' light came on even though the oil level was not low (the bike had the same problem when I first got it). Jen jokingly said to just put some tape over it and the problem is gone. Once I got back to the States, I sent her the attached picture with the caption, 'fixed.' 

Fast forward to yesterday when I rode the bike for the first time since sending the 'electrical tape over the check oil level light' picture. The 'check oil level' light is really off now; no tape needed. Thanks for the tip Jen W.

Mother Cup - Celebration of Friendship

This space is usually reserved for when I trash talk the SOL team for sucking at fishing;but while they do suck at fishing and I want to thank Tim V. for pushing the Tito vodka to the SOL lushes (not sure if a word) who were craving Bloody Mary's Saturday afternoon, we lost a friend this weekend so there will be no trash talking, only a celebration of friendship as I have the best group at that.
