Paparazzi without a camera - not good

My apologies for not posting anything here recently. They say that every picture tells a story and well, I keep forgetting my darn camera. I would love to tell you tales about my return to Memories Lounge in Brighton for Rich’s 40th birthday and the views of the white American dancing scene (visualize an old folks Wayside with extra cigarette smoke in the air). I would also tell you tales about how I thought my “man cave” was up there in cachet until I saw Spurge’s setup and crawled back into my shell. I would even rave about how Munson is conquering the cross country ski world with a pretty sweet sled setup. I wouldn’t, however, tell you about the “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” play I saw a few weeks back because it was pretty bad.

We’ll be sure to pack the camera this weekend.

Super Sunday Ice Fishing Celebration

The ice fishing gods were looking down on Dunham Lake yesterday for the Super Sunday ice fishing extravaganza with blue skies and mild temperatures. The fishing started strong with Gus getting a nice size pike off of his tip up within the first hour but after that, besides a few nibbles, the fish didn’t hit until later in the day when the second pike was produced; that one a whopper (see Jim and Gus trying to weasel into the picture). The lack of fish didn’t stop the celebration of friends, food, and beverages. On the food platter were some brats, venison wraps, wings, and of course, the cheese ball/loaf. I don’t think anybody can claim any donkey-ness this year unless I was the one riding (I claimed the prize a few years back). Kudos go out to Jim for winning the 1st touchdown pool and Al/Roger for winning the Bruce Springsteen wager (I thought “Born in the U.S.A.” was a no brain-er for first song).
