Thirteen and three-quarter inches. That was the theme of the day yesterday morning on Lakeville Lake for the sixth session of the Badwater tour. The ruler below says it all. If there was a contest for bass that are a quarter inch short, Doke would have taken the title. Each time the net came up and each time I would go "ehhhhhhhh" (as in "not enough") time and time again. That was a minor complaint, however, as the 14-15-16 inchers finally did show themselves. Four anglers maxed out with.....surprise, surprise, the Vaden connection again taking the victory. The overcast skies were a blessing (never rained) as it kept the jet skis to a minimum so we had a real fishing tournament feel out there.
