Pontiac Lake - Obsessive Rider

Last night was a return to the location of one of my forgettable falls from last year, Pontiac Lake. It seems like they add more rocks to the trail each year or the rocks that are there are mating with each other (frisky rocks?). Thankfully, there was no blood to report from the ride. The long straightaway at the end always makes for a nice finish for those rare (very rare lately) racing occasions. The trail was fast and dry, almost too dry. The April showers just didn’t happened much this year.

While enjoying a post ride beverage, Mark and I got a nice glimpse of Mr. Obsessive Rider in the parking lot (pictured). With his girlfriend/wife waiting in the car, he pulls out his bike mount (who brings this with them?) and proceeds to do a 50 point inspection of his bicycle. While I
didn’t have the guts to take a picture of him, also in attendance was blue jean rider. Who needs a change of clothes when coming from work? Get out of the car, strap the helmet on, and off you go! Getting the mud stains out from the back of those Levi’s can be a toughie, however.

A great sports celebration it was also last night. The economy might blow but our sports teams don't!
